Apparently, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry said that “perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.” We have talked about how saying no can support a still mind before here at the still web. Danny Forest over at Medium has created an exhaustive list of the kind of things we might benefit from saying no. It is long and it is quite exhaustive as well as exhausting! So, we suggest a scan and some quiet reflection time with the article, you may also want to mark some of his suggested resources for future reading. The illustration is by him to and you can see an interactive version of the diagram here. The process (and the list) is a little mechanistic and 70’s pop psychology, but there may be something there that sparks some insight.
