From the book Delayed Response by Jason Farman we explored a while back this is a 40 minute talk which may give you a more in-depth idea about the book. We like the idea of the art of waiting as something we practice and develop tactics for. Which are yours? He talks about learning to become students of waiting, learning to ask not only ‘why am I waiting?’ but also ‘who benefits from me waiting?’ and sometimes that can be ourselves. He also encourages us to think about time as intertwined, political and ultimately collective. This can lead us to radical empathy.
